Seat Mounting Plate

do i need hazards on a trike?
my trike is a bolt on conversion,on a 91 plate the bike dont come with hazards so do i still have to fit them for a trike.also do u have to mount lights on the mudgaurds or can they be put on the frame inside the wheel spanlike near the seat frame ??
Trike law and MOT regs get changed almost every year, so it’s best to check with your local Class 3 MOT station for the latest info.
However, only trikes first registered before April 1986 are exempt from needing hazards. Additionally, since 2007, trikes are required to have a rear fog light, too.
Rear lights and indicators must be a certain height from the road and also a certain width apart, to comply with the Construction and Use Regulations. I can’t actually find the specs at the moment , though – sorry…
