Need info on what is inside fridge?
OK so I am converting a Igloo FR465 mini fridge into a kegerator, but I am about 1.5 inches to short width wise due to the plastic interior where the shelves slide into. Does anyone know what will happen if I cut this part out? Can I remove the WHOLE plastic inside of a mini fridge? Will it stay cool? What is the purpose of the interior hard plastic of a fridge? Is it just to cover wires or does it serve a cooling prupose? Please help…ohh and I contacted the IGLOO company and all they said was “Dont do this” LOL
The sides of the frig are most likely a foam type material. Provided the light & thermostat are in the back of the frig. The only thing you might have to look out for is the wire that goes to the switch for the light. That would be at the hinge sids of the door.
