omc ingnition starter switch a for assecories is the same as i for ingnition?
Im trying to replace an OMC ingnition starter switch with a Sierra version which is supposed to be the same for OMC 393301 POLLAK 33-105 and I got 2M's and a B (battery) to match and S (solinoid) and C (choke) ,but I (ignition switch) and A (accesories) is that the same thing so I should connect those or what??? Is anyone on here a boat expert. Thank you.
Yes it is an outboard but Sierra has different letters like M M B S C I or 1
and OMC had only M M B S C A
and I did not catch that part about the engine going please could you tell more on that.
I am just guessing that the A is supposed to be connected to the I.
Sierra switch is going to work. You have most of it done
The (A) is just a power tap for the gauges and switches.
The choke will be a push in on the key switch while turning the key. I like to get the motor spinning before the choke is applied as it takes some voltage and like to give the volts to the starter first, then give it choke.
I'm assuming this is an outboard as you sound like you've wired it for magneto or mag/cdi?
